Another First for R.I.S.E.

Thursday, January 31, 2008

What could be more fitting than the nation’s largest electronic stock exchange staging its first-ever-on-a-college-campus remote Closing Bell ceremony from the floor of the world’s largest investment conference? That’s precisely what will occur during the R.I.S.E. VIII Forum’s keynote presentations on March 27 as NASDAQ officially ends its business day onstage at the UD Arena.
NASDAQ and R.I.S.E. is a match made in heaven, or at least made in Dayton, Ohio as UD’s hometown joins the elite ranks of more prominent cities that have hosted these rare, off-site Closing Bell ceremonies: Davos, Switzerland…Beijing, China…San Jose, California.
The NASDAQ event spotlights an entire day of unparalleled programming featuring a stellar line-up of heavyweights from the worlds of investment, finance, and government who comprise the panelists and speakers at the R.I.S.E. VIII Forum’s keynote presentation day.
Of course, R.I.S.E. VIII continues for students on Friday and Saturday as it moves to the University of Dayton campus with a full schedule of workshops and breakout sessions. All in all, it’s a three-day event you won’t want to miss. For more details, visit www.rise.udayton.edu.
